Full-stack Engineer — Hardcore Mode

Hardcore mode

This role uses Better Stack's optional Hardcore mode.

• Work 60 hours per week.
• Reply to work messages on weekends.
• Receive 10 vacation days, 13 public holidays, and unlimited sick days.
• Work 1.5 times the standard hours for twice the standard compensation, plus equity.

The role may be performed remotely from North America or Europe, or onsite in Prague, Czechia.

About the role

Build, test, and ship secure, scalable Better Stack product features across the frontend and backend. Own work from product experience and interface polish through database performance and production deployment.

• Use modern AI-assisted development tools while retaining strong debugging and systems judgment.
• Deliver end-to-end features with the founders and product designer.
• Work across Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, Redpanda, JavaScript, Vue, Tailwind, and Docker.
• Operate independently in an asynchronous, low-meeting environment.
